Open day of the Bavarian Academy of Sciences — 20 May 2017
IRTG members took part in the open day of the Bavarian Academy of Sciences in Munich: On May 20, 2017, the Bavarian Academy of Sciences opened its doors to members of the public to display its research and other activities. The BGI presented in this context its research on the state and the processes in the deep earth. Dr. Hauke Marquardt supervised an information booth with a small group of doctoral students from the institute and gave a lecture “An Experimental Journey into the Depth of the Earth”. In addition, the BGI contributed with a “candy volcano” to the children's program.
